Na’imah: Coup Plot Claims Are Ridiculous
PETALING JAYA: Toh Puan Na’imah Abdul Khalid has dismissed the government coup plot claims as utterly absurd and laughable. She refutes the allegations, attributing them to a disgruntled former employee who approached her with a communications team proposal in July 2025. Despite his poor performance, the individual continued to make monetary demands, leading to his termination.
Na’imah's sons also criticize the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) decision to publicly release their names and details, calling it reckless and unjustified. They emphasize that they have been cooperative and in communication with the MACC, with notices served only on February 25 for an interview on March 11.
Na’imah further emphasizes the timing of the report, suggesting it's a desperate attempt to distract from calls to remove MACC's Tan Sri Azam Baki. She denies any involvement in the Bloomberg investigative report about Azam and hints at potential legal action against the allegations.
